ReplyDeleteThe joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
ReplyDelete- Chris McCandless -
In the above comment, Chris McCandless is the young man who set out alone into the Alaska wilderness in 1992. In the non-fiction book INTO THE WILD, author Jon Krakauer wonders what made an educated, literate, smart, well-liked, compassionate being walk away from his life and disappear. Too much Thoreau and Jack London?

ReplyDeleteThank you for going and doing this! It has added to me and my life - after all - it is all about ME, right?
I wish you a wonderful trip and hope that it feels like a month!
I will be watching, waiting and thinking of you both.
Love, YBB
